How views are counted
Where view numbers come from, how often they update and what happens when they drop.
Views are the public view counts each platform shows on the post. We read them on a schedule and keep a snapshot of every reading, so both sides can see how a clip grew.
How often we check
- Clips posted in the last 7 days are checked about every 3 hours.
- Older clips are checked about once a day while they can still earn.
- Readings stop once a clip can no longer earn, for example after its earning window ends.
Which views count
A clip earns only after a person on the brand team approves it. On CPM campaigns it then keeps earning for 7 days after approval. The views it has at the end of that window are final.
When views go down
Platforms sometimes remove views they judge to be fake. If a clip loses views inside its earning window, the credit is adjusted down to match. Money that has already settled is never taken back this way.
Deleted or private posts
If a post disappears or goes private, the clip is flagged and stops earning. If it comes back, the flag lifts on the next reading.
