Creator terms

The rules for joining campaigns, submitting clips and getting paid.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] ("RaveRewards", "we", "us"), the operator of RaveRewards, a product of RaveClip. They apply when you use RaveRewards to join campaigns, submit clips and receive payouts.

Brands that run campaigns agree to separate brand terms. Our privacy policy and disclosure guide form part of these terms.

2. Words we use

  • Brand: a business or agency that funds and runs a campaign.
  • Campaign: a funded brief with a payout model, rates, platforms and rules.
  • Clip: a post you published on your own social account and submitted to a campaign.
  • Earning window: the period after approval during which a CPM clip keeps earning.
  • Balance: money credited to you. The available part can be withdrawn.
  • Flag: a review opened by our checks, a brand or our team that pauses a clip's payout.

3. Who can use RaveRewards

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must not be on a sanctions list or live in a country we cannot pay under sanctions law.
  • One account per person. Accounts cannot be sold, shared or transferred.
  • The information you give us must be true and kept up to date.

4. Your account

Keep your password safe and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account. We may ask you to confirm your email address or identity before some actions, such as withdrawals.

5. Connecting social accounts

You may only connect social accounts that you own and control. You prove ownership by placing a one time code in the account bio. Each social account can be connected to one RaveRewards user.

We read public information about your connected accounts and the posts you submit, such as handles, follower counts and view counts. We never post on your behalf.

6. Joining campaigns

Public campaigns can be joined straight away. Application only campaigns are approved or declined by the brand. Invite only campaigns need a link from the brand. A brand may limit how many creators join and may remove creators from its campaigns.

7. Submitting clips

  • Post the clip on your verified account first, then submit the link to the post.
  • Each post can be entered in one campaign only, once.
  • The clip must follow the campaign brief and our content rules.
  • Do not delete, edit or hide a clip after you submit it. Missing posts stop earning and are flagged.

8. Review and approval

A person on the brand team approves or rejects every clip. Nothing is approved automatically, and we do not approve or reject clips on a brand's behalf.

Brands may only reject a clip for breaking a rule written in the campaign description or requirements, and must give a reason. Brands are asked to decide within 7 days.

9. How you earn

  • CPM: the rate for every full 1,000 views, up to the maximum payout per clip. A clip earns nothing until it reaches the minimum payout.
  • Nothing is credited before approval. On approval we credit what the clip has earned so far. CPM clips keep earning for 7 days after approval, and the views at the end of that window are final.
  • Per post: the fee is credited once the clip is approved and reaches the campaign's minimum views within 7 days.
  • Retainer: a fixed amount per cycle for the agreed number of approved posts, paid pro rata or all or nothing as the campaign states.
  • The rate, minimum and maximum are locked for each clip when you submit it.
  • Earnings are limited by the campaign budget. If the budget runs out we credit what fits and pay the rest if the brand tops up while the clip can still earn.

10. Fees

The creator fee is currently 0%, so you keep everything you earn. The fee in force when a campaign launches applies to that campaign for its whole life.

11. Your balance and withdrawals

  • Credits become available to withdraw straight away.
  • You can withdraw once your email address is confirmed and your available balance is at least $10, to PayPal, Wise or a bank account in your own name.
  • Our team sends payouts by hand on business days and marks each one paid with a reference.
  • We do not charge for withdrawals. Your payment provider may charge its own fees.
  • If we pay you too much by mistake, we may correct it from your balance or ask you to return it.

12. Flags, bot scores and appeals

We use automated signals to give every clip a bot score from 0 to 100 and to spot problems such as view spikes, uploader mismatches and duplicates. A score of 70 or more, or any of those signals, opens a flag and pauses the clip's payout.

Every flag is decided by a person, never by the score alone. You may send one written appeal per flag with any evidence you have. We aim to reply within 10 business days.

13. Reversals

Money that has not settled yet may be reversed if a clip is rejected after approval, a flag is upheld, a per post clip misses its minimum views, or your account is banned. Money counts as settled once the earning window has closed.

Settled money is not reversed, except to recover losses from fraud we have confirmed. A reversal never takes your available balance below zero.

14. Disclosure

Every campaign clip is paid advertising. You must disclose it clearly on every clip as set out in the disclosure guide. Clips without a clear disclosure may be rejected.

15. Content rules

  • No fake engagement: no bought views, likes or followers, bots, view farms or engagement groups.
  • No content you do not have the right to use, and no reposting other people's clips as your own.
  • No misleading claims about products, prices, health or income.
  • Nothing hateful, harassing, sexual involving minors, violent, dangerous or illegal.
  • No impersonation of a person or a brand.

16. Ownership and licence

You keep ownership of the clips you make, except where the brand supplied the source footage, templates or scripts; then the brand owns the finished clip once it is approved. Work delivered under a retainer belongs to the brand once it is paid for.

When a clip is approved you give the brand and RaveRewards a worldwide, royalty free, perpetual, not exclusive licence to use, copy, edit and share it, including in paid advertising, and to pass that licence to their agencies and partners. The brand may use your name and likeness only with that clip, not as a separate endorsement.

You may show your clips in a portfolio unless the brief says otherwise. You confirm you have the rights to everything in your clip, including music, and that it does not break anyone's rights.

17. Suspension and bans

A brand may ban you from its own campaigns. We may suspend or ban your account for fake engagement, fraud, serious or repeated breaches of these terms, or where the law requires it. A banned account cannot join campaigns, submit clips or withdraw, and its social accounts cannot be connected again.

Settled money is not cancelled by a ban, except to cover losses from confirmed fraud. You may appeal a platform ban once, in writing, through support.

18. Taxes

You are an independent creator, not our employee or the brand's employee. You are responsible for any tax on what you earn. We may ask for tax information where the law requires it.

19. Our role and disclaimers

RaveRewards is a marketplace. Brands decide their campaigns, rules and approvals. We run the service with care, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise that it will always be available or that you will earn any amount.

20. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and $100.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For changes that matter we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before they apply. If you keep using RaveRewards after that, the new terms apply.

22. Closing your account

You can close your account at any time. Withdraw your available balance first. We keep records of clips, payouts and decisions for as long as the law requires.

23. Disputes and governing law

If something goes wrong, contact support first and we will try to fix it within 30 days. These terms are governed by [Governing law to be confirmed], and disputes are decided by the courts named there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim at home.
