Privacy policy
What we collect, why, who sees it and the choices you have.
Last updated
1. Who we are
[Company legal name] runs RaveRewards and is responsible for your personal data. RaveRewards is for people aged 18 and over; we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
2. What we collect
| Data | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Name, email, password (stored hashed), country, profile photo | You |
| Social accounts | Handles, profile links, follower counts, verification codes | You and public platform pages |
| Clips | Post links, captions, thumbnails, views, likes, comments, shares over time | Public platform data and you |
| Payments | Payout method details (encrypted), payouts, funding records | You and our payment providers |
| Brand data | Organisation name, website, team members, campaign briefs | You |
| Messages | Support messages, demo requests, appeals | You |
| Usage | Pages visited, device and browser, IP address, cookie choices | Your browser |
3. Connected social accounts
We read public information about the accounts you connect and the posts you submit. You prove ownership with a code in your bio, which you can remove afterwards. We never post, comment or message on your behalf. Instagram accounts need to be professional accounts so that view counts can be read.
4. How we use your data
- To run your account and the campaigns you join or create.
- To verify account ownership and count views on submitted clips.
- To calculate earnings, pay creators and collect budgets.
- To prevent fraud and fake engagement and to enforce our terms.
- To answer support messages, appeals and demo requests.
- To send service emails, such as verification, approvals and payouts.
- To understand how RaveRewards is used and improve it, only with your consent for analytics cookies.
5. Fraud scoring
We combine signals such as engagement patterns, view history and account history into a bot score for each clip. A high score opens a review, but a person makes every decision that affects your earnings, and you can appeal it.
6. Our legal reasons
We use your data to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests in running a safe marketplace and preventing fraud, to meet legal duties such as tax and accounting, and with your consent for analytics cookies.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process data in other countries. Where that happens we use recognised safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
9. How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account is open, then up to 2 years unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Financial records such as earnings, payouts and funding: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually 7 years.
- Support messages: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
- Security logs: up to 12 months.
10. Security
Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Payout details are encrypted before they are saved and only shown masked. Access to full details is limited to the finance team and every view is logged.
11. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, object to some uses, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact support to use these rights. You can also complain to your data protection regulator.
12. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms and remember your choices. Analytics cookies are only used if you accept them in the cookie banner, and declining changes nothing about what you can do. You can change your choice with Cookie choices in the footer.
13. Changes and contact
We will post changes here and tell you about important ones by email. Questions: [Company legal name], [Registered address], or the support address in the footer.
