Flags, bot scores and appeals

Why a clip gets flagged, what happens to its payout and how to appeal.

Every clip gets a bot score from 0 to 100 based on engagement patterns and account history. A score of 70 or more opens a flag. Other checks can open one too.

What opens a flag

  • A high bot score or a sudden spike in views.
  • The post was uploaded by a different account than the one you verified.
  • The same post was entered twice.
  • The post went missing or private.
  • The post is dated before the campaign started.
  • A brand or our team raised a concern.

What happens to the payout

While a flag is open the clip stops being credited. Our team looks at it and either dismisses the flag, and the payout resumes, or upholds it, and the unsettled money goes back to the budget.

Appealing

You can send one written appeal per flag. Explain what happened and include screenshots or links to your analytics. A person reads every appeal and we aim to reply within 10 business days.
