Choosing rates and a budget

How much to spend, what rate to set and how caps protect your budget.

Start with the budget

The minimum is $1,000. Many brands start there for a first test, see which clips and platforms work, then top up.

Pick a rate per platform

Rates between $0.50 and $3 per 1,000 views are common. Higher rates attract more creators and better editors; lower rates stretch the budget further. You can set a different rate for each platform.

Use a minimum and a maximum

  • A minimum payout means small clips earn nothing until they reach it, which keeps the queue focused on clips that travel.
  • A maximum payout caps what one clip can cost, so a single viral clip cannot spend the whole budget.

What happens when the budget runs out

The campaign pauses, leaves Discover and stops taking new clips. Top up and it resumes; clips that were still earning are paid the rest on the next reading.
