Refunds for unspent budget

How to get unspent budget back, and why part of it may be held for a while.

Updated ·1 min read

You can ask for the unspent budget of a campaign back once nothing on it can still earn. That means three things are true:

  • Every clip in review has been approved or rejected.
  • Every approved clip has finished its tracking window (7 days after approval unless the campaign sets another length). Approved clips keep earning until then.
  • On a retainer campaign, no cycle is running. Refunds open once the current cycle closes and its creators are paid.
  1. Pause the campaign so no new clips come in.
  2. Clear the review queue for the campaign.
  3. Wait for the last tracking window to close. If one is still open, the refund request tells you the date refunds open.
  4. Open the campaign menu and request a refund. The campaign pauses at once.
  5. Our team reviews the request and pays the refund to the account that funded it.

The review hold

We may hold up to 10% of the refundable amount while the last view checks and any flags on the campaign are resolved. What is left of the hold is released afterwards.

What is not refundable

  • Money already credited to creators for approved clips.
  • Platform fees on that money.
  • Card processing fees, where you paid by card.
